When imagining a horror novel, your mind conjures a book with a dark cover, and a title that is written in that classic, jagged, dripping typeface. For this project, I challenged myself to redesign a stereotypical cover into a compelling jacket that pulls in a shoppers attention. The hidden photograph on the back of the jacket, as well as the placement of text work together to call the reader into opening the cover and reading the book.
